Positive thinking will be change your life.

Many people have misconceptions about positives and negatives. When you classify things into positive and negative, you're cursed with both simultaneously together cannot exist without the opposite. Remember that for each action there's an equal and opposite reaction - this is often a law stated by Newton but Newton didn't create it. Nature did. Because Nature strives for neutrality which impetus is driven by an underlying state of non-duality (which, alas, we will hardly experience because our thinking is restricted, whether positive or negative).

So if everything is underlying neutral, and positive and negative are only a matter of perception, does that mean that we'd like to strive to eliminate positive and negative thoughts altogether? Should we attempt to "dull" our perception so we will experience everything because it really is, i.e. as endless, amorphous, all-connected nothingness? And wouldn't that put us at risk of becoming a vegetable of sorts, never feeling much of anything, existing in a good, emotionless state? Is that a goal deserves our time and life?

There is nothing to worry about here! We humans cannot even be compared to the present (unless we experience some serious brain damage, which I definitely don't recommend). For whatever reason, we expect whatever we expect (perceived as "positive" or "negative") before we will believe it, i.e. the thoughts are much faster than us and out of our control. They are available and go all the time, despite us.

So that,  during this physical body we'll still register thoughts, and it is not about controlling the thought itself (you can't do that), it's about the load you assign thereto thought as an observer (that you'll control if you're skillful enough). An idea comes, maybe it seems positive, or perhaps it seems negative. A corresponding feeling is generated. Don't provide it any importance. Don't judge it, and it'll go as fast because it came (always does). And a next state will come (before you recognize it and in fact completely out of your control). Do an equivalent thereupon next thought and therefore the feeling it generated. It made you angry? Don't judge it! Simply experience anger which, of course, will go as quickly because it came (unless you provide it importance). Or perhaps the thought made you cheerful. Don't praise it! Simply experience happiness but aren't getting too attached for this too shall pass.

Positive and Negative as you'll see, it is not about what you're thinking but about what judgments you've got about what you're thinking. In other words, concentrate on the attitude with which you're observing your thoughts and therefore the emotional states they generate. Don't struggle to think positive for the more you are doing that, the more negativity you mention to balance things out. Think smart instead, accepting and experiencing life's apparent richness without taking any of it too seriously. After all, life is simply a game. Play smart and you win. And that is possible only when everything is thought in a positive way.
